Bethel CRC is a congregation in the Christian Reformed Church of North America (CRCNA) As a bi-national denomination the CRCNA has about 300,000 members in 1,000 congregations across the United States and Canada. We call ourselves Christian because we belong to Jesus Christ and want to be his followers. We recognize as fellow-Christians all people who accept the teachings of the Bible as summarized in the Apostle’s Creed. Reformed because we're part of that historic branch of the Christian church that follows the teachings of 16th-century reformer John Calvin, who struggled to return Christianity to its biblical roots. Church because God has called us to be a fellowship of his people in the world. We often call ourselves "the CRC" for short. The offices of the denomination are based in Grand Rapids Michigan and Burlington Ontario. For more information about the various CRC agencies/offices please check out the CRC Ministries section of our web site or the CRC denomination web site at www.crcna.org |

Bethel CRC is part of Classis Toronto. Classis Toronto is one of the many Classis that make up the CRC denomination. The Mission of Classis Toronto is to be, by the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit, a growing community of churches called to witness to Jesus Christ and advance God's reign in the whole region in which we live by continuing to be reformational, by being accountable to each other while valuing the diversity of our expression, and by fostering ministry in and among the local congregations. For more information about the classis please check out the Classis Toronto web site at www.classistoronto.org |

Emblem |

Our emblem is the cross in a triangle. The triangle represents the Trinity, our belief in the one God we know as three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The cross symbolizes our belief in Jesus Christ's sacrificial death for our salvation. |

Beliefs |
|
|
We subscribe to the following confessions: and the following three creeds: The beliefs and doctrine of the Christian Reformed Church are based on the Holy Bible, Gods infallible written Word contained in the 66 books the Old and New Testaments. We believe that it was uniquely, verbally and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and that it was written without error (inerrant) in the original manuscripts. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks. Another valuable resource is Our World Belongs to God: A Contemporary Testimony. |
